Leprechaunism, also referred to as Donohue Syndrome, is an extremely rare disorder inherited as an autosomal recessive genetic trait, resulting in abnormal resistance to insulin with paradoxical hypoglycemia. The disease is characterized by prenatal and postnatal growth retardation, death within the first year of life, enlarged genitalia, course features, acanthosis nigricans, and subcutaneous adipose tissue.
